Demystifying the Cost Approach Class

Service Description

This seven instructional hour class is designed to assist appraisers and users of appraisal services in understanding the cost approach with simplicity. It dispels some of the myths about cost approach terminology and methodology. It covers such topics as site valuation methodology, deriving market site value in a limited sample size market, extracting depreciation from the market, calculating effective age, economic life, and more. Upon the completion of this class, the participant will be able to define the cost approach, describe effective age, apply the rule to calculate site value, apply the rule to calculate effective age, demonstrate how to calculate depreciation. Upon successful completion of the class, the participant will receive a certificate of completion. DC, MD, VA approved or accepted.
